R.D. Head Elementary School teacher Doug Doblar was announced as one of 10 finalist for the 2019 Georgia Teacher of the Year by State Superintendent Richard Woods Tuesday.

Doblar previously was selected as the 2018 Gwinnett County Public Schools Teacher of the Year as well as receiving the school district’s Elementary School Teacher of the Year award.
