2021 Gas South Innovative STEAM Grant Recipients:

New! Veronica Crawford Scholarship for Teachers

Established in 2021, this scholarship was established in honor of Mrs. Veronica J. Crawford, a long-time Grayson High School teacher and administrator.

A one-time award of $250.00 will be presented to a Grayson High School educator seeking to provide educational materials for his or her classroom.  One recipient may be named per year.

Requirements:  Applicant must be a full time Grayson High School teacher with a minimum of one year of experience, in good standing per evaluation process, with a letter of recommendation from an administrator, and a willingness to continue employment in the Gwinnett County School district.

Applicants must apply.  Submit letter of interest including how the funds will be used and recommendation from an administrator to the Principal of Grayson High School.  Deadline:  March 1, 2022.

Award will be granted by May 1, 2022.

Your McDonald’s of Greater Atlanta Owner/Operators are fueling the imagination, education and growth of area students with Golden Grants, a local program that supports individuals, educators, programs and organizations serving students grades K-12.

Grants will be awarded in the following amounts based on creativity and hands-on application of projects:

  • One grant awarded in the amount of $20,000
  • One grant awarded in the amount of $10,000
  • Ten grants awarded in the amount of $1,000
  • Total: $40,000

Qualifying activities include the following, as long as need is demonstrated:

  • Arts activities
  • Education initiatives
  • Mentorship and empowerment programs
  • After-school programs
  • Community service
  • Sports activities
  • Technology
  • COVID-19 relief-related efforts

Interested teachers can apply for a 2021 grant by choosing a county from the drop-down menu and completing the application. Only one application per program/initiative/organization will be accepted.
