For a group of students who gathered in a ballroom at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast in Peachtree Corners for lunch on Friday, the question is not whether they will be able to get into college.
It’s which of the nation’s top elite schools they will attend.
The students, along with one teacher who has taught them over the years, were gathered at the hotel for the county’s annual STAR Student and STAR Teacher recognition luncheon, which was hosted by Partnership Gwinnett. The event highlights a top-performing student from every public and private school in the county, as well as a teacher who has made an impact.
