Britt Elementary students, parents learn cooking skills in Families in the Kitchen

Several Britt Elementary School students and their parents recently went to school to learn how to cook and eat healthy.

The families learned how to make butter, dice onions and tomatoes, slice carrots and rough chop romaine lettuce during the Families in the Kitchen class. Working together, the children and their parents made a spaghetti dinner with whole grain pasta, meat sauce, garlic bread, tossed green salad, milk and Italian lemon ice.
