Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology senior Sandra Perez will have the chance to meet former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and have a portion of her college tuition paid for, thanks to an exclusive scholarship.
Gwinnett County Public Schools announced that the KPMG Future Leaders Program awarded the GSMST senior a $40,000 scholarship. Perez, who is also one of two Gwinnett County Public Schools students awarded a Horatio Alger National Scholarship worth $25,000, will also be paired with a mentor for one year and was accepted to a three-day KPMG Future Leaders Retreat at Stanford University with Rice this summer.
