GCPS Foundation Receives 2019 Community Partner Award

Dorothy Parker-Jarratt, Summerour Middle School Principal and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority poses with the GCPS Foundation Senior Executive Director Aaron Lupuloff after he accepted the Changing Communities and Lives 2019 Community Partner Award at the 25th Anniversary Celebration, “Through The Years…Changing Communities and Lives” Event. AKA Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter sponsors the Beauty T. Baldwin Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship award is offered to Gwinnett County African-American high school seniors to further their educational opportunities. It is the chapter’s goal to aggressively promote post-secondary education endeavors.
