Gwinnett County Public Schools trimmed its list of candidates for the 2018-19 systemwide Teacher of the Year from 137 teachers to 25 semifinalists Monday.

The group consists of 15 elementary, five middle and five high school teachers. Teachers were nominated by their colleagues at their local schools. The 2018-19 GCPS Teacher of the Year will be announced in November at the annual Teacher of the Year banquet.
