A New York-based retirement planning company has named a team of four Coleman Middle School teachers unsung heroes of the classroom for a project that teaches students about architecture, art, design and aquatics-based agriculture.
Voya Financial Inc. announced this week that Sheila Harmony, Jana Czerwonky, Tamara Rossi and Kelli Sinclair will be the recipients of a $2,000 grant distributed as part of the 2017 Voya Unsung Heroes awards competition. They will now compete against other grant recipients for one of three additional awards worth $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000.
