CINDY BROGDON
Hall of Fame Class 2010 Greater Atlanta Christian, Class of 1975Basketball
    • Led GAC to three state titles
    • Four-time MVP of state high school tournament
    • First female in Georgia to receive a full athletic college scholarship
    • Was a three-time Kodak All-American, receiving the accolade as a freshman at Mercer University and then duplicating the feat her junior and senior years at the University of Tennessee.
    • Ranked second in AIAW career scoring with 3,204 points and 11th in AIAW career scoring average, averaging 25.0 ppg.
    • Career statistics also include 1,028 rebounds (8.3 rpg) as well as a 50.0 field goal percentage and an 82.7 free throw percentage.
    • First Georgian to play on a U.S. Olympic basketball team
    • Member of 1976 U.S. Olympic Team that won silver medal
    • Played for the New Orleans Pride of the Women’s Professional Basketball League in 1979 and 1980.

    • First and only boxer to last 15 rounds with Rocky Marciano
    • 1949 and 1950 Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year
    • Posted career record of 96-25-1 with 58 knockouts

    • Second in Georgia Tech history with 508 career assists and hold the record for assist average with 4.7 per game
    • Averaged 19.2 points and 7.1 assists as a senior at Georgia Tech

    • ACC Player of the Week in 1992,1993, 1994
    • Ranked third in the ACC for career victories with 35
    • Fifth in the ACC in career strikeouts with 386
    • Third in the ACC in career innings pitched with 426
    • Is tied for the ACC’s annual leader in shutouts in 1994 with two
    • Named to the ACC’s All-Tournament Team in 1993
