Beth Rihm Global Language Scholarship
A one-time award up to a maximum of $1,000 will be awarded to one or more GCPS senior(s) who have demonstrated a proficiency in a spoken foreign language and expressed a desire to deepen fluency through cultural immersion or extracurricular study.  One student from Brookwood High School will be chosen as a recipient. Established in 2015 by Rachel B. Mehravari, a Brookwood HS alumna and a former Beth Rihm memorial scholarship recipient.  Ms. Mehravari credits a Rihm scholarship with helping her achieve her goal of becoming a member of the Foreign Service in the Diplomatic Service of the United States of America. Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4 pt. scale, a recommendation letter by a foreign language faculty member, and provide a one-page essay describing an interest in foreign languages.
