Student Scholarships

Beth Rihm Global Language Scholarship

Open to Brookwood High School seniors only.

 

This scholarship is a one-time award of up to $1,000 that will be awarded to a GCPS senior who has demonstrated a proficiency in a spoken foreign language and is seeking to deepen fluency through cultural immersion or extracurricular study. One or more recipient may be named.

This scholarship was reestablished in 2015 by Rachel B. Mehravari, a Brookwood HS alumna and former Beth Rihm memorial scholarship recipient. Ms. Mehravari credits a Rihm scholarship with helping her achieve her goal of becoming a member of the Foreign Service in the Diplomatic Service of the United States of America.

The World Languages and DLI Department along with the foreign language teachers at Brookwood High School will determine the recipient each year.
