Community Based Mentoring Program – Hispanic Boys Priority Scholarship

The Community Based Mentoring Hispanic Boys Scholarship for high school students has been created to support and motivate Hispanic boys to extend their academic journey beyond a high school diploma from a Gwinnett County Public School.

A one-time award of $1,500 will be presented to one or more GCPS high school graduating senior(s) annually with plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited college or university.

Requirements could include, but are not limited to:

  • GPA must be at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

  • Hispanic descent, at least one parent must identify as Hispanic.

  • Member of the Hispanic Boys Community-Based Mentoring Program for at least 2 years

  • Any field of interest, but must be enrolling in the fall as a full-time student in either an accredited technical school or 2 or 4 year college/university

  • Must submit a 500-word essay

  • Scholarship is open for applications from October 1, 2023 - February 15, 2024.

  • *Scholarship recipients are recognized during the End of the Year Celebration in May. All scholarships will be awarded in the Spring Semester prior to the post K-12 Fall semester.
