Community Schools Hispanic Girls ¡Sí se puede! Scholarship

The ¡Sí se puede! Scholarship has been created to support, elevate, and motivate Latino students towards their journey in obtaining a high school diploma from a Gwinnett County Public Schools high school.
Through the ¡Sí se puede! Scholarship, two (2) high school seniors, one female and one male, per school year will be awarded $2,500.00 to cover any (tuition, books, living, etc.) state or national public or private university, two-year college, or technical school expenses.

Requirements could include, but are not limited to:

  • Application

  • Teacher recommendation

  • Personal recommendation

  • GPA must be at least 2.5

  • Financial need must reflect free/reduced qualification

  • Geographic boundaries

  • Latino/Hispanic descent, at least one parent must identify as Latino / Hispanic

  • Volunteer hours must reflect contributions in the Latino community, 30 hours

  • Any field of interest, high school seniors

  • 500 word essay, high school seniors

All scholarships will be awarded in the Spring Semester prior to the post K-12 Fall semester.

Time frame:

  • Opens February 1 each year

  • Closes May 1 each year


The committee led by Nury Crawford, a minimum of 4 additional Latino/Hispanic leaders will choose the winners each calendar school year.
