Student Scholarships

Geri Flanary Memorial Scholarship
(Open to Duluth HS applicants ONLY) Annually, a one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to a GCPS Duluth HS graduating senior with plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited college, university, technical, or trade school. Geri Flanary was the heart and soul of the school and was dedicated to caring for students in need. Because she was dedicated to helping those in true financial need succeed educationally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate financial need and will plan on serving the community to help the greater good. Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate financial need through being a free and reduced lunch recipient, 3.0 GPA, recommendation letter by a faculty member with whom the student works with during their senior year, 600-word essay describing a challenge that the student has overcome, the plans the student has for his/her educational future, and how that future will impact the greater good and society as a whole.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must register the FIRST time you apply ONLYfor any online scholarships. After you apply for the first scholarship, all your information will be applied to all scholarships you apply to thereafter. You will only login or logout.

  • After confirmation a second email will arrive in your inbox with your password which will be your student ID#. Your user name will be your email address.
Once registered, any future online scholarships that you apply for, you will only need to sign in under "User Account" with your user name and password. User Account will be displayed when you scroll over the Scholarships & Grants dropdown menu on the scholarship page of the website.
