Two student musicians recognized at prestigious competition

Two local student musicians were recognized at the third annual Franklin Pond Chamber Music Competition and Awards Concert on May 26 at Spivey Hall on the Clayton State University campus.

Claire Hong, a North Gwinnett High School freshman from Sugar Hill, and her ensemble won the grand prize at the concert. She was the youngest in her ensemble, made up of mostly high school graduates.

Kristen Song of Duluth, a member of the Emory Youth Chamber Program, was part of an ensemble that won a grand prize in the Middle School Division.
