South Gwinnett teen studies at STEAM camp in Africa

Many students spend their summer breaks working or taking vacations, but rising South Gwinnett High School senior Cori Alexandria Nelson chose to do something a little different.

The 17-year-old traveled halfway around the world, crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Namibia in southwestern Africa, to learn about science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics as part of the 2018 Women in Science Girls STEAM Camp.
