Thanks to energy companies Gas South and Sol Systems, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Gwinnett County Public Schools is getting a considerable helping hand.
Atlanta-based Gas South and Washington D.C.-based Sol Systems (a solar power developer) have teamed up to contribute nearly $300,000 to Gwinnett County Public Schools to provide schools with the ability to develop renewable energy-specific learning tools and resources, train teachers, engage students and enable schools to work toward becoming STEM certified.
