Snellville teen Ayden Abercrombie’s love of American flag fueled Eagle Scout project

To understand Ayden Abercrombie’s Eagle Scout project, it’s important to know one thing: He has always loved the American flag.

The 15-year-old Snellville resident is a member of Boy Scout Troop 548’s honor guard team, and he earned his Eagle Scout rank by making flag drop-off boxes for the county’s OneStop Community Centers. The idea behind the boxes is to give people a place to drop off their old and worn out flags so they can be properly retired.
