Some Simpson Elementary School students have a new reason to be excited about recess.
The school recently opened a new playground designed to serve third- through fifth-grade students in special education classes, particularly those pupils who are wheelchair-bound.

While the school has previously had a playground for special education students, officials said it wasn’t designed to accommodate wheelchairs.
