Seckinger High School is one of 50 high schools selected to host the Presidential Academy for Teachers and Congressional Academy for Students program, Gwinnett County Public Schools officials said.

According to GCPS, the Academies Program supports the establishment of Presidential Academies for the Teaching of American History and Civics that offer workshops for veteran and new teachers to strengthen their knowledge of American history, civics, and government education. The Congressional Academies for Students of American History and Civics provides high school students with opportunities to enrich their understanding of these subjects.
