Students at four Gwinnett schools worked to help families in need during the holidays.

At Discovery High School, the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps raised more than $5,500 for the Empty Stocking Fund, a nonprofit organization that purchases a variety of new items to give children for Christmas.
