Laughter, food and camaraderie permeated throughout the Mill Creek High School library on Wednesday. A dozen school resource officers from across Gwinnett County’s school clusters gathered for a luncheon honoring them and their work.

The event, put on by Mill Creek’s DECA Club, is in its second year. This year, as a way to show their gratitude, members of DECA gave every school resource officer a bag that included hand-written notes, gift cards and treats.
