Gwinnett County Public Schools students learn about legal system

Nearly 30 students from high schools across Gwinnett have a better understanding of the legal system after they graduated from the Summer Mentoring in Legal Education, or SMILE, program.

The mentoring program allowed students who are interested in law to participate in learning sessions held at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Students learned about the justice system, the trial process and the Constitution through encounters with lawyers and judges.
