Gwinnett County Public Schools preparing for new health science school in Meadowcreek area

Gwinnett County Public Schools just opened the Paul Duke STEM High School, but officials are already looking ahead to the district’s next theme school, which is being built in the Meadowcreek cluster.

During Thursday’s school board work session, school officials gave an update on the yet-to-be-named Meadowcreek Cluster Health Science High School set to open in August 2019. The school, which is under construction at the intersection of Club Drive and Steve Reynolds Boulevard, is expected to be 300,000 square feet and accommodate 1,500 students.
