Among the 125 school system teams participating in this year’s Relay For Life, 24 school teams and three Central Office teams each raised at least $10,000. The total amount raised by Gwinnett County Public Schools for the American Cancer Society through the Relay For Life campaign was $888,769.91 — more than 60 percent of the total funds ($1,500,537.41) raised in the Gwinnett Relay effort.
At the October Board of Education meeting, the School Board held its annual recognition for the top schools that raised money for Relay for Life effort to support the fight against cancer.
