Haleh Hamidi initially thought her daughter’s design for Eastside Medical Center’s “Name the Robot” contest was a little too generic.

“When I saw her drawing, I said, ‘Shayda, this is too ordinary,’” Hamidi said, laughing. “I tried to change her mind and say, ‘Shayda, can you try to draw a person or this and that’ and she was like, ‘No, I want to do it this way.’ I tried, several times, to have her change her mind and she didn’t, but now (I know) that I should just trust her next time — she knows best.”
