By day, Nury Castillo Crawford is an assistant principal at Dacula Middle School. By night, she runs a publishing company and writes books.

Earlier this month, Crawford released her first book — “3,585 Miles to be an American Girl” — which she said was easy to write because she used her own life experiences.
