Eleven-and-a-half years ago, Jenna Cloninger was a high school senior at Collins Hill High School preparing to earn her diploma.
Flash forward to Thursday night and Cloninger, who now teaches oceanography at Central Gwinnett High School, was named Gwinnett County Public Schools’ overall Teacher of the Year during a ceremony at the Gas South Convention Center.
“This is very surreal, it’s like a dream,” Cloninger said after the ceremony. “I’m a little shaky.”
