When Shiloh Middle School social studies teacher LaCresha Williams-Pittman was chosen as a C-SPAN Fellow earlier this year and given the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. for an educators conference in July, she was thrilled.
“I wanted professional development and I love C-SPAN and always use their (content), so I applied for the (fellowship) program,” Williams-Pittman said. “They picked me and paid for me to go to D.C., they paid for my food, my hotel was on Capitol Hill…it was amazing.”
