COACH HUGH (BUCK) BUCHANAN
Hall of Fame Class 2014 Parkview High School Baseball
    • Parkview's head baseball coach for 29 years
    • Three state titles – 1996, 2001, 2002
    • 12 region championships
    • Record 546 wins and 245 losses.
    • Parkview's head football coach - 1983, 1984, 1985
    • Parkview’s head softball coach – 1987 to 1994
    • No. 20 jersey retired
    • One of two Georgians in National High School Baseball Coaches Assoc. Hall of Fame
    • Numerous athletes playing professionally, among them MLB players Jeff Francouer, Jeff Keppinger and Clint Sammons Inducted Georgia Athletic Coaches Associat
    • Inducted Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame
    • Inducted Gwinnett Dugout Club Hall of Fame

    • Parkview – 3x state team champions - 2000, 2001, 2002
    • Nine individual high school titles (including relays)
    • First male in history of USA Swimming Scholastic All-American program to graduate with a 4.0 GPA and win a national title
    • Auburn - 4x NCAA team champions and 4x SEC team champions (2002-2006)
    • World University Games, silver medalist, 400-meter individual medley - 2003
    • World University Games, gold medalist,  200-meter & 400 individual medley (first American to sweep these events at a world university games) – 2005
    • Set American Record in 100 and 200 breaststroke (both still standing) - 2009
    • US Olympic Summer Games  – 2008, 2012
    • 5x US National Champion
    • Broke world record, 400-meter medley relay (still standing) - 2009
    • Gold medalist US Olympic team, 400-meter relay team – 2012
    • Auburn University – 11x NCAA All-American

    • Collins Hill High won 9 individual state titles
    • Member of 2 state championship track teams
    • Member of 3 state championship cross country teams
    • Graduated with GPA of 3.95
    • All-Ivy League honors in both cross country and track at Columbia University
    • Holds the school record there in the mile (4:42)
    • Ivy and ECAC champion at 1500m in 2010
    • Finished third in Ivy League cross country championship in fall of 2010
    • Multiple recipient of Ivy League All-Academic and USTFCCCA All-Academic honors

    • University of Michigan, four-year starter
    • Started 49 consecutive games for the Wolverines at left tackle
    • National Football Championship, University of Michigan
    • Big 10 first-teamer as a senior
    • All-American second team selection by College Football News and ABC/Sports
    • NFL first-round draft pick Detroit Lions – 2001
    • 12 year career Detroit Lions
    • Franchise-record 186 consecutive starts at left tackle
    • Drafted in the 2001 and missed one game in 12 years

JON STINCHCOMB
Hall of Fame Class 2014 Parkview High School, Class of 1997Football
    • USA Today and Parade All-American 1997
    • All county/All state honors
    • Earned 4.0-grade-point-average in high school
    • 4 year starter at UGA from 1999-2002
    • Inducted into the UGA Circle of Honor
    • All-Academic honors in 2001-02
    • AFCA Good Works Team honors for community service
    • All-American offensive tackle for UGA in 2002
    • 3-time All-SEC
    • Captain on the 2002 UGA SEC Championship team
    • Semifinalist for 2002 Lombardi Award
    • One of six recipients of National Football Foundation scholarship
    • NCAA Top 8 award- recognizing 8 scholar athletes from any sport at any level in the NCAA for accomplishments on field, in community, and in classroom
    • Graduated with honors in microbiology and a minor in religion
    • Originally drafted 37th overall in the 2003 NFL Draft
    • Started 86 straight games
    • Voted by his teammates on the Saints as a season-long team captain
    • Won Super Bowl XLIV with the New Orleans Saints in 2009
    • Voted to the Pro Bowl in 2009
    • Named Saints' "Man of the Year" in 2008
