Gwinnett’s Bicentennial Torch Run officials got underway Wednesday with runners carrying the torch from the home of county government to the home of its oldest city’s government.
Central Gwinnett High School runners carried the torch on a 1.8-mile trip from the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center and around downtown Lawrenceville. Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson joined them on the final stretch, with the city’s top elected official carrying it from the Lawrenceville Female Seminary to Lawrenceville City Hall.
