The Gwinnett County Public Schools nutrition department received recognition for its food service, the school district announced in a press release Tuesday.

Ken Yant, Gwinnett County Public Schools’ director of School Nutrition, was awarded the 2018 Silver Plate. Presented by the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association, the IFMA Gold & Silver Plate Awards honor the nation’s top food service operators.
