High school graduates Tamia Jones of Lanier High School, Nabid Farvez of Discovery High School and Anna Timm from Providence Christian Academy were awarded the Stamps Scholarship and will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology this fall. Jones plans to study biology, while Farvez will major in electrical engineering.
They are part of 230 students who make up the 13th class of Stamps scholars. Selected from almost 300,000 applications, scholarship recipients have varying academic interests such as medicine, education, engineering, history, public policy, and visual and performing arts.
