Creating 24 gardens in 24 hours in 24 communities sounds like a near-impossible assignment, but the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is up for the challenge and has selected Lilburn Elementary School to take part in the project.
The Arizona-based Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation — an arm of Sprouts Farmers Markets — announced in late August that Lilburn Elementary would be among 24 schools from across the country to take part in the “24 Gardens in 24 Hours in 24 Communities” contest, which was established in April to commemorate Earth Month and will invest $500,000 in local schools for nutrition education.
