The Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter (LDAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, in conjunction with the LDAC Foundation, will award at least $25,000 in scholarships this year to eligible African-American males in Gwinnett County Public Schools. At a minimum, the scholarships will be awarded as follows, with other possibilities depending on our fundraising efforts:

One $15,000 Scholarship (initial payment of $3,750 once college acceptance letter is submitted; then paid in increments of $3,750 per year as long as remain enrolled full time, a 2.5 GPA is maintained and collegiate
transcripts submitted)

Ten $1,000 Scholarships (paid once college acceptance letter is submitted)
In order to be eligible for one of the aforementioned scholarships, you must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher, submit an application, a scanned copy of the official high school transcript, one letter of recommendation, and a brief essay highlighting extracurricular/work activities and any honors and awards
received, career aspirations, and how the scholarship will be used to meet a financial need to supplement your college expenses.
