    • Georgia record 7 straight youth state championships
    • Two-time AAU national champion
    • A three-time state champion at 171 pounds at Shiloh High School
    • State champion sophomore, junior and senior year
    • Compiled a four-year record in high school of 154-3
    • First from Georgia to win Senior National Tournament (1999)
    • Ranked No. 4 in the country at 189 by Wrestling USA magazine
    • Named Georgia Wrestler of the Year (1999)
    • Four-time NCAA qualifier at North Carolina State
    • NC State - finished second in the ACC Tournament (1999)
    • Won National Wrestling Coaches Association Tournament at 171 pounds (1999)
    • Posted a 23-9 record with three pins, six major decisions, and a technical fall, leading to ACC championship (2001)
    • Posted 18-4 record at 165 weight (2002 - 03)
    • Two-time ACC champion NC State
    • Established The Wrestling Academy in Gwinnett (2004)

    • World University Games, gold medalist,  200-meter & 400 individual medley (first American to sweep these events at a world university games) – 2005
    • Set American Record in 100 and 200 breaststroke (both still standing) - 2009
    • US Olympic Summer Games  – 2008, 2012
    • 5x US National Champion
    • Broke world record, 400-meter medley relay (still standing) - 2009

    • Had four 1,000-yard rushing seasons in pro career
    • Finished with school record 5,204 career rushing years at South Carolina
    • Rushed for 1,781 yards and 14 TDs as senior with Gamecocks
    • First-team All-American selection in 1979 and 1980
    • Rushed for a then-county record of 2,286 yards for Duluth in 1975
