Infinite Energy STEAM Education Grant Application

The Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation looks forward to receiving your Grant Proposal. Each proposal will be reviewed by a member of the Infinite Energy Review Committee established by Infinite Energy. Additional information for finalist's projects may be requested by the grant selection committee.


Infinite Energy STEAM Education Grants: Supporting Innovation and Creativity in the Classrooms of Gwinnett County Public Schools. A minimum of $40,000 is available to be disbursed to one or more schools in the area of science, technology, engineering, the arts, or mathematics. Grants will be awarded based on merit.  Grants may be requested for any amount up to $40,000.

Application Deadline - January 4, 2019.
Winners will be announced in February.

Successful proposals will meet the following criteria:

  • Strengthens academics one or more of the STEAM curriculum areas
  • Meets School Improvement Plan objectives
  • Support college and career readiness for students
  • Outcomes are measurable
  • Success can be replicated within the school and across the district
  • Resources are used wisely for greatest impact
  • Proposal included budget details and notes additional sources of support

Narrative

  1. Project Overview, 50 points total
    a) Brief Project Summary, 10 points. Your project in fifty words or less.
    b) Description, Goals and Objectives, 30 points. Address how this project falls under the curriculum areas of STEAM and how it will strengthen education in your school or cluster. Give a summary of your project’s goals and objectives.
    c) Estimated project timeline, 10 points. Explain your estimated timeline for your project including implementation date, any milestones, and completion date.
  2. Budget, 20 points. Itemize project expenditures. If relevant, discuss sustainability of the project if there are future funding needs.
  3. Communication, 30 points total
    a) Yes/No, 5 points. If chosen, I agree to participate in a photo opportunity organized by the GCPS Foundation of me/school staff and/or my class being awarded the grant check.
    b) Yes/No, 5 points. I will provide a minimum of two images of my project and/or my project’s progress to Infinite Energy to be used on their social platforms and/or company blog by 12/31/19. Yes/No
    c) 10 points. How do you plan to communicate the progress of your project/program to your school or your community? I.e. posting on the school’s social media platforms, articles in your school newsletters, etc.
    d) 10 points. How do you plan to communicate the progress of your project/program to Infinite Energy to be featured on their social media platforms and/or blog? I.e. sending quarterly updates
