Lieutenant Colonel John Ira Mulzac Scholarship
The Lieutenant Colonel John Ira Mulzac Scholarship is merit-based and will provide financial assistance to students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in the U.S. Air Force Academy or an Air Force university. It is open to students of all backgrounds and academic levels who have a strong commitment to the military and a desire to serve their country through the Air Force. The scholarship amount is $1,000, and can be used to cover tuition fees, textbooks, and other educational expenses.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
- You must have a minimum GPA of
3.0
on a scale of 4.0. - You must exhibit good character and leadership skills.
- You must be a
minority student
(including but not limited to African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, or Asian American). - You must be currently enrolled or attended Gwinnett County Public Schools.
- You must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in the
U.S. Air Force Academy or an Air Force university
. - You must provide a letter of reference from a faculty member.
- You must submit a two-page letter explaining why you are passionate about serving their country through the air force and how you plan to use your education to make a positive impact in your community or country.
