Community Schools Hispanic Boys Priority Scholarship

The Community Schools Hispanic Boys Scholarship for high school students has been created to support and motivate Hispanic boys to extend their academic journey beyond a high school diploma from a Gwinnett County Public School.

A one-time award of $1,500 will be presented to one or more GCPS high school graduating senior(s) annually with plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited college or university.

Requirements could include, but are not limited to:

  • GPA must be at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

  • Hispanic descent, at least one parent must identify as Hispanic

  • Member of the Hispanic Boys Community-Based Mentoring Program for at least 2 years

  • Any field of interest, but must be enrolling in the fall as a full-time student in either an accredited technical school or 2 or 4 year college/university

  • Must submit a 500-word essay


Scholarship is open for applications from October 1, 2023 - February 15, 2024.

  • *Scholarship recipients are recognized during the End of the Year Celebration in May. All scholarships will be awarded in the Spring Semester prior to the post K-12 Fall semester.
