Dr. Janice L. Calkins SLP Continuing Tuition Assistance for Employees
An award of $1,500 will be presented to one or more graduating seniors from GCPS seeking to pursue a bachelor’s degree in speech language pathology. Upon completion of their bachelors and acceptance into a Master of Science program in speech language pathology, award recipients with an interest in public education may apply for an additional $1,000 match. The Master of Science program must be at a college or university accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. · Requirements: High School applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA out of 4.0; minimum 20 hours (or more) of observation of a practicing Speech Language Pathologist in any setting; provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member (preferably a district SLP), and have plans to enroll in an accredited college or university for fall 2020.
