  • Won 1980 Heisman Trophy as a senior at South Carolina
  • Won a Super Bowl ring with the Washington Redskins in 1987
  • Finished seven-year NFL career with 7,176 yards rushing and 54 Touchdowns
  • Won NFL rushing title as a rookie with 1,674 yards
  • Had four 1,000-yard rushing seasons in pro career
  • Finished with school record 5,204 career rushing years at South Carolina
  • Rushed for 1,781 yards and 14 TDs as senior with Gamecocks
  • First-team All-American selection in 1979 and 1980
  • Rushed for a then-county record of 2,286 yards for Duluth in 1975

  • Fifth in 200 individual medley at 1992 Olympic Trials
  • Member of four NCAA title teams at Stanford
  • Nine-time All-American in three college seasons
  • Swam for U.S. in Pan-Pacific Games, World Championships and Goodwill Games
