This summer, we invite all mentees to join us for our exciting Community-Based Mentoring Summer Events! You’ll have three amazing opportunities to hang out with friends, explore new places, and learn in fun and interactive ways. On June 17th, we’ll kick things off with an exclusive college tour of Gwinnett Tech to get a glimpse into your future. Then, on June 25th, we’ll dive into the world of automotive innovation with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Kia Automotive Plant. Finally, on July 9th, we’ll celebrate sports and history at the College Football Hall of Fame — and enjoy a delicious meal at The Varsity! For just $35, you’ll get access to all three events, including food and transportation. Summer is the perfect time to explore, learn, and make unforgettable memories with friends — don’t miss out! *Please note that the $35 fee is non-refundable. If your child cannot attend, your funds will be donated to the operation of the program. *Also note, this event is designed for current GCPS students who are members of the Community-Based Mentoring Program.
Dates, Destinations, & Time:
- June 17, 2025- Gwinnett Tech College Tour
- Drop off at 9:00 am, we will depart promptly at 9:30 am. We will return at 2:00pm.
- June 25, 2025- Kia Automotive Plant Tour
- Drop off at 8:00 am, we will depart promptly at 8:30 am. We will return at 4pm.
- July 9, 2025- College Football Hall of Fame & Varsity
- Drop off at 8:30 am, we will depart promptly at 9 am. We will return at 2pm.
Drop off & Pick up Location: Berkmar Middle School (4355 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lilburn, GA 30047)
Cost: $35 (non-refundable) all three trips or $15 (non-refundable) for individual trips.
